The JADE Dress Code for Each Dance Session
Proper clothing and shoes are required in order to get the most out of each class. These are not guidelines. They are requirements and should be taken seriously. Dancers who continually come to class unprepared will not be allowed to participate in class, and no refunds will be given.
- For all subjects except ballet, hair should be secured in a ponytail that will not come down during class. If bangs come down below the eyebrow, they should be clipped or pinned up.
- Hair should be worn in a ballet bun for all ballet classes.
- Boys' hair should be neatly styled. If their hair can cover their eyes, it must be secured back.
- No jewelry or toys are allowed in class. Small post earrings are permitted when absolutely necessary.
- Street shoes and cover-ups must be worn when entering and leaving the building.
- Dance shoes should not ever be worn outside.
- All girls should use the provided dressing room to change for class. Our restrooms should not be used as a dressing room.
- All boys are welcome to use the restrooms to change if necessary.
- We highly recommend you carry a dance bag with your name on it. Your bag should only hold necessary dance items in it. All items should be labeled with your name or initials.
